Indiana Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch had the honor of cutting the ribbon after sharing a few words about the project. Jacob Sipe, the Executive Director of Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, was also in attendance.

The Paddocks is one of the signature pieces in Culver’s Stellar SIP. The Culver town, Culver Academies, and Lake Maxinkuckee communities united to forge a common goal for the town: attract more year-round residents. Culver often struggled with limited housing options and partial residency in the off-season, as many residents reside on or around the lake only in the summer months. This community partnership helped the city of Culver receive a Stellar designation in 2017.

Culver established three goals as part of its Stellar program. The first goal was to add new residents — The Paddocks is already welcoming 25 new residents to Culver. The second goal was to increase Culver’s workforce — these new residents are increasing the labor force in the Culver area and are taking jobs in the Culver community. The final goal is to put more kids in Culver schools — there are 22 children under the age of 18 residing at the Paddocks, so far.

The Paddocks is comprised of 48 two and three-bedroom apartments of affordable housing designed to provide workforce housing in the area. Bradley Company is proud to be a part of such a great community project. The Bradley Company professionals responsible for property management are Jamie Crawford, Property Manager, and Alonda Jenkins, Regional Property Manager. The property is expected to be fully leased by the end of next month.
