The Best Valentine’s Day Restaurant in Each of Our Markets. As voted by our team.

modern restaurant.png

We love buildings here at Bradley Company.

We also love what goes inside of them…especially when it comes to restaurants! This Valentine’s Day we ask each of our offices to put their heads together to come up with the BEST restaurant to recommend for a great night out on Valentine’s Day.

It was close in almost all the markets as the votes came pouring in but, in the end, there could only be one suggestion per office. We hope you enjoy this list.

We’d recommend not reading this while you’re hungry though.

The Bradley Company Team

Grand Rapids

Winner: Butcher’s Union

The main tagline of Butcher’s Union is “Meat & Whiskey”. Trust us, whether you like one or both, this place came in 1st in the voting by a comfortable margin.

Delicious food and great quality ingredients make this the kind of dinner date where you walk away wondering how soon you can come back. It’s the kind of place that makes your tastes look good too.

You see the bacon wrapped meatloaf over there? It’s kind of a Ron Burgundy level big deal.
If meat or whiskey isn’t your thing, never fear, they can still take good care of your date.

Winner: Rustica

Rustica blends influences from France, Italy, Spain and other European countries with regional Michigan flare to crate a restaurant that is all about the food. Romantic foodies will find themselves extremely happy enjoying the house sourced ingredients, house-made everything, and the amazing dishes they make.

Winner: Provecho Latin Provisions

In Spanish and Latin cultures “Buen Provecho” was a way to wish good eating to family, friends, and neighbors. The ancient phrase means “may this food be good for your health and sit well with you.” It was a cultural way to convey the sincerity of our love through a meal.

Is there a better way to spend Valentine’s Day dinner than enjoying food that is all about love?

South Bend

Winner: Corndance

Corndance edged out the other great restaurants in the South Bend area to take the lead. It’s not hard to imagine why. Dry aged meats and incredible, locally sourced ingredients make for dishes that are as unique as they are delicious.

One of the hot spots of the area, those hoping to score a date on Valentine’s Day weekend will want to book soon.

Winner: Artisan

When the topic of Valentines Dates came around, Artisan soared to the top. Small plate fine dining at one of highest levels anywhere has made it’s home in Elkhart. A twist on the traditional steakhouse style of eating, Artisan takes a bold approach to Midwestern style cuisine. It is melt-in-your-mouth good. It’s a Valentine’s Day Treat for sure. Better make your reservations.

Winner: Oak & Alley

You know a burger place makes some incredible burgers when they get the most votes for a Valentine’s Day date spot. Craft burgers, craft beer, and craft bourbon. What else do you need to know.

Oak & Alley has become a growing staple because, well, their food is amazing! This is the perfect chill date choice without sacrificing a single bit of flavor.

Fort Wayne

Winner: Baker Street

Baker Street makes a promise of “Steaks, Seafood, Spirits”, and they deliver. Fabulous steaks, or, if you choose you can go with the “Dino Rib” and entire beef BBQ ribbed cooked in a way you’ll remember for a long time. If some amazing seafood, a sizzling steak, or even just a dessert with a great drink sounds like the Valentine’s Day outing you want to plan, this is the spot for you.

Winner: Vida

Opening just a few years ago, Vida has taken the Indianapolis culinary scene by storm and has been awarded four diamonds. In 2016 they were the ONLY restaurant in Indiana to receive that designation. Creative cuisine pared with incredible wines alone would make a restaurant successful, but Vida goes one step beyond that. The blending of flavors and the fact that some of the ingredients are freshly sourced ON the premises adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the entire dinner experience. For Valentine’s Day in Indianapolis, this is sure to be a hot spot for dinners.
