Tracey Schafer, J.D.

Tracey joined Bradley Company in 2025 as Chief Legal Officer, acting as a strategic advisor to the executive team and helping guide the company’s growth while managing legal, regulatory, and governance risk. She brings more than a decade of experience representing businesses, individuals, and municipalities in complex civil litigation, appellate matters, and business disputes, with a background that includes extensive trial, deposition, and risk management experience.
 
Before joining Bradley Company, Tracey practiced law in northern Indiana, where she represented businesses, individuals, and municipalities in a broad range of matters, including commercial litigation, business and corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, employment and non-compete matters, municipal law, appellate advocacy, and risk management. Her practice also included significant experience in personal injury defense, products liability, and wrongful death claims. Since her admission to the Indiana Bar in 2009, she has represented clients across multiple state and federal jurisdictions, including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Indiana and the Northern District of Illinois.
 
Throughout her career, Tracey has developed a reputation for diligence, strategic legal analysis, and steady leadership under pressure. In her role with Bradley Company, those strengths support internal operations, contract negotiation and review, regulatory compliance, employment matters, risk assessment, and strategic business initiatives across the firm’s diverse business lines.
 
Tracey earned her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2009 and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Purdue University in 2006. She is admitted to practice law in Indiana and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Indiana and the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the St. Joseph County Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association.
 
In addition to her legal work, Schafer is active in local community initiatives. She serves as Treasurer of Plymouth United F.C., a youth soccer club serving families and athletes throughout northern Indiana. Her community involvement reflects Bradley Company’s commitment to servant leadership and making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
