(Indianapolis, IN) Bradley Company / RESOURCE’s Joshua D. Abrams, Sam Smith, and Mitch Doner recently brokered the investment sale of a medical manufacturing and research facility located in Owen County, Indiana. The 258,375 SF complex is located at 780 Brookside Drive in Spencer, Indiana. Abrams, Smith, and Doner represented the seller along with Camille Renshaw and Tim Hain of B+E Net Lease.
Boston Scientific has been the tenant of the building since 1988 and uses the site to produce instruments for their endoscopy and urology divisions. In 2018, the Spencer Town Council unanimously approved a 20-year tax abatement for Boston Scientific with Boston Scientific agreeing to hire an additional 350 employees, bringing the total to 1,400 employees at the Spencer facility. The facility broke ground on its expansion in July 2019 to bring the total facility to 258,375 SF. Boston Scientific plans to utilize the new space for administrative functions to free up more space in the current facility for production.
