Bradley Company Principal Mark Neal Honored as 2026 Distinguished Business Leader

Bradley Company Principal, Mark Neal, was honored by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce with the Distinguished Business Leader recognition at the 2026 Salute To Business event on February 5, 2026 in South Bend Indiana.

(South Bend, Ind.) – Bradley Company is proud to announce that Principal Mark Neal has been named the 2026 Distinguished Business Leader by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the Chamber’s annual Salute to Business, recognizing leaders whose careers have delivered sustained regional impact through principled leadership and community investment.

Neal’s career spans executive leadership, public service, and commercial real estate, shaped by a consistent philosophy that leadership is measured by the opportunities it creates, the institutions it strengthens, and lasting community impact. Prior to joining Bradley Company, Neal served the City of South Bend as City Controller and Deputy Mayor, stepping into critical leadership roles during a period of the City’s transformation and growth. He also led his own executive and financial management consulting firm. Earlier, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Press Ganey Associates.

“Mark represents the kind of leadership that prioritizes long-term outcomes over short-term wins,” said Chad Phillips, President & CEO of Bradley Company. “He brings disciplined thinking, sound judgment, and a deep sense of responsibility to every role he takes on. His belief that success only matters when it’s shared, with teams, clients, and the broader community, perfectly reflects the values we hold at Bradley Company.”

At Bradley Company, Neal has played a key role in guiding complex downtown reinvestment efforts. Notable projects include the adaptive reuse of the Hibberd Building and the recently completed redevelopment of the former Salvation Army Main St. corridor into Momentum Hub and SoMa Lofts apartments. His work reflects a conviction that commercial real estate serves as a catalyst for economic vitality, talent attraction, and long-term regional growth.

Beyond his professional achievements, Neal remains deeply engaged in civic leadership. He currently serves on the boards of the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County and Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, and as President of the South Bend Board of Park Commissioners.

During his remarks at Salute to Business, Neal emphasized a leadership philosophy centered on curiosity, humility, and shared success. “Winning for yourself alone is a hollow victory,” Neal said. “Real success comes from winning with your team, for your clients, and for your community.”
