Senior Broker Chad Voglewede helps guide Lake City Bank’s downtown Fort Wayne real estate strategy, supporting the bank’s continued growth and investment in the community.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (October 2026) — For more than 27 years, Lake City Bank has been part of Fort Wayne’s business community, supporting local companies and investing in the region’s growth. Now, the bank is preparing for its next chapter downtown, with a new presence at Electric Works.
When Lake City Bank began exploring opportunities to expand its existing downtown Fort Wayne offices, Bradley Company Senior Broker Chad Voglewede was brought in to evaluate the possibilities.
What began as an evaluation of the bank’s existing space evolved into a broader search for a location that could accommodate its growing operations.
Drawing on his knowledge of downtown Fort Wayne’s commercial real estate market, Voglewede surveyed available properties, identified alternatives and narrowed the options to three locations, which he toured with Lake City Bank’s team.
Ultimately, the bank selected Electric Works, securing 17,525 square feet to support its continued growth in Fort Wayne.
The lease includes approximately 15,025 square feet of office space that will serve as the market headquarters for Lake City Bank’s Commercial Banking and Credit Administration teams, along with a 2,500-square-foot full-service Retail Banking branch. Together, the spaces will support key business operations while expanding access to banking services in downtown Fort Wayne.
“We’re delighted to expand our office footprint in Fort Wayne as we continue to increase our market share and successfully expand in the market. The Bradley team was a great partner as we explored the options and we are very pleased with the support we received from Chad and the team throughout the process,” said David M. Findlay, Chairman and CEO of Lake City Bank. “It was also important to ensure that we bring our true community banking approach to this underserved community in Fort Wayne.”
For Voglewede, the assignment reflects the importance of understanding a client’s broader business objectives, not simply identifying available space.
“Successful real estate decisions start with understanding where a client wants to go. Lake City Bank has a longstanding commitment to Fort Wayne, and our goal was to identify a location that could support its continued growth. Electric Works offered an opportunity to bring together key banking operations and a new retail presence in a dynamic downtown setting. We’re proud to have helped the bank take this next step.”
The location also carries a particularly meaningful connection to Lake City Bank’s investment in the community.
The bank played an important role in financing the redevelopment of Electric Works, helping support the transformation of the former General Electric campus into a mixed-use district for business, education, dining, retail and community activity.
Now, Lake City Bank is preparing to become part of that transformation in a new way: as a tenant bringing its own teams and banking services to the development.
For Lake City Bank, the expansion represents another investment in a market it has served for decades.
For Bradley Company, the transaction reflects the value of collaboration, market knowledge and a client-focused approach to commercial real estate.
Lake City Bank anticipates opening its new office and retail banking facilities in the first half of 2027.
