Skyline Tower is a distinctive $40 million, 170,000 square foot, mixed-use development in downtown Fort Wayne. It will feature nationally recognized Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse on the ground floor and office space on the second floor, totaling 30,000 square feet of commercial space. Above that, the tower will house 124 high-end apartments which will address the strong demand for quality housing in Fort Wayne’s growing downtown neighborhood.
The project has attracted the praise of Gov. Eric Holcomb. “Downtown amenities and housing are essential to building quality of place, and the Skyline Tower in Fort Wayne will be a driving force in creating vibrant communities that retain and attract talent, supporting northeast Indiana on its Road to One Million,” said Holcomb at the time of the groundbreaking. In recent weeks, he has touted the way Regional Cities has helped the state. “Indiana is on a roll,” he said.
Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry said the tower is a “tremendous addition to the heart of our city.”
GLC has partnered with Bradley Company, a local and regional commercial real estate services leader with expertise in leasing and management of retail and office space and multi-family housing.
“Skyline Tower will offer a very unique living environment which will continue to make our city and our region ever more competitive in retaining and attracting talent,” said David Arnold, Director of Great Lakes Capital. “Apartments will be available by June 2018 and there has already been very strong interest in potential residents who are attracted to the quality, location and special amenities of the property.”
Brad Toothaker, President and CEO of Bradley Company and Managing Partner of GLC, said the project is good for Fort Wayne and the entire northeastern Indiana region. “This project is big for downtown Fort Wayne, and we expect it to have a lasting impact for residents and members of the business community,” he said.
Three banks owned and operated in Indiana joined to make the project possible. Old National Bank is the lead financial partner with collaboration from Lake City Bank and Salin Bank.
